Born in Derby, England,
and educated in south Wales,
I emigrated to the United
States in 1989.
Following a career in
advertising & marketing,
with a particular flare for graphic design, it was only natural for me to be drawn to the limitless possibilities of designing literally one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry.
I began selling my designs in 2002, opening a retail shop in 2005 to display and sell my work. I work with cut stones, polymer clay and lampwork glass. To keep my work interesting and fresh, I like to work with all three mediums, although my love and fascination of taking glass rods to a molten state and turning them into pieces of wearable art is a true passion. To watch the glass flow, the colors combine, the endless textures I achieve, and to see the beads take shape is an amazing process.
The responses I received when my work appeared in Polymer Café Magazine and Step-by-Step Wire Jewelry were most rewarding. I currently sit on the Board of Directors for the Spearfish Arts Center.
Enjoy browsing these samplesof my work, and I look forward to creating a one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art for you!
In my spare time I love to be at the barn with my horses Jack and Lyuba. I am also interested in Egyptology, gardening and spelunking (even though caves terrify me!). I'll stick to riding horses.
